Traditional Timber frames and Outdoor Classroom

We have made a huge variety of timber framed shelters for public places and private spaces. From three by three to ten by ten metres squared. Single, double and multi pitched, king post, queen post, open and scissor trussed, corner braced or ground supported, open sided and clad. Roofed in slate, tile, shingle and most often wildflowers or sedum.

Traditional timber framing is one of the pinnacles of construction joinery. Simple yet also very complex and accurate wood to wood pegged joints create long lasting very elegant structures.

It is also one of the most immersive and satisfying ways to spend your day. Very high skill and precision is required, combined with physicality due to the size of the timbers and the tools needed to work them.
