Welcome to the Caledonian Forest…..well a sculptural representation of it anyway as a informal play feature in a courtyard of the massive new regional Dumfries and Galloway NHS hospital.
Concept design by FIRA, and designed, made and installed by Handspring. Each of the 17 trees consists of an 150x150mm octagonal oak post, with a one meter tall and 400mm diameter solid timber ‘tree top’, that slotted down over the post.
