The Hoop Shelter has been engineered in collaboration with Arup to enable different configuration possibilities, to extend or shrink or re-order the steel rings and oak panels. The shelter does not require foundations; it sits on hardcore/crush & run, or any base and is in-filled between the main tracks to bring it up to floor level after installation, which also hides the connection details. The shelter is fabricated off site so lorry access to within 5m of the shelter's location is required for installation. Ideal as a 'youth shelter', the Hoop has a number of surfaces that can be used as a focus for creative community input.

Options: It is possible to make the structure entirely out of steel or use alternative materials where using timber is a concern. Solar powered [LED] lighting could also be fitted. Please enquire for prices.
