We operate with a strong environmental and social agenda. We use local craftspeople, natural materials and incorporate renewable energy where possible. We also work within the community, involving people throughout the design and creation of their shared vision. Handspring Design works out of Ecclesall Woods in Sheffield, an ancient woodland that lies at the heart of the forests that fuelled the region's industrial revolution. Through our practice and by working with like-minded organisations we are once again putting the woodland at the centre of a sustainable local timber revolution.
